A lucid dream is a state where you realize, while dreaming, that you are inside a dream.
It does not usually start with anything dramatic.
There are plenty of stories about flying through the sky, opening a door and stepping into any place you want, or calling someone you miss into the dream. In reality, it is not that easy.
At first, it is usually brief.
“Wait. Is this a dream?”
The moment that thought appears, you may wake up right away.
The scene may blur, your body may feel heavy, or you may suddenly open your eyes in bed.

The point is not to suddenly become clever inside a dream.
The point is to build the habit of questioning reality while you are awake.
